Yes, I have been thinking of starting the West Coast Austin Healey Club with
myself as paid editor. Then I will promote the West Coast Healey Museum. I
have a location figured out in Diamond Springs, California.
Always follow the money!

It puzzles me that no one has done any kind of an in-depth discussion of the
guy in the Ferrari cap. Last year he was the fellow who paid over 3 million
for a one-off Oldsmobile(?) concept car, for some museum, (how can a museum
justify spending 3 mill on one car, and one that will be interesting to only
one type of car enthusiast?) and this year he was back in the fray, paying
ridiculous prices for cars that I would argue are either not museum material
or if they are, could be duplicated for the museum for 1/3 their cost (the
Golden Beige Healey). Is he the pointy end of some sort of money-laundering
or tax write-off scheme?
Who even knows who he is?
Cheers
Gary
