Very good response.  Margaret Lucas (MOMA INSTRUMENT REPAIR) told me that 
many of the replacement cables have the portion beyond the bushing at the 
top end too long.  The extension of the drive cable must not be longer than 
3/8".  You can just grind off the extra.
