Some of the service kits for the 3000s' servos have nylon lookalike
thingie/seals that dissolve in brake fluid!!!! It's virtually the last one
to go in as you complete the job. The bloody thing just crumbles away from
the inside until sudden and possibly catastrophic failure. Mine gave way as
I was going round a tight corner at some speed. I touched the pedal...firm
for a second and then nothing! Took it apart later....best described, as by
the expert who identified the issue to me, as looking like a "burst
tea-bag".
Not ideal!

A occurance over the weekend has me thinking about safety in our old cars.

I am planning a safety article in the next Mag issue.  I am looking for the
listers top few safety advice tips.

Some things come into mind in a few broad catagories:

- General Driving habits/behaviour
- Maintainance
- Safety enhancements
