[Healeys] HD8 Damper Cap Loosens

Hi All,
With increasing frequency, I am finding the damper cap on my rear HD8 open
after a run.  With no apparant defects in the cap or pin, I am at a loss to
know why this is happening.  Has anyone experienced this condition or knows of
a resolved?
