That might be right for some early 100s but not many.

I know the boot lid seal of at least one of the 20 Warwick built 100s=20
was/is glued to the lid. The car was never fully restored.

I have an mid-early 100 with an aluminium boot lid and a steel bonnet,=20
built May 1954.

The seal was and is glued to the lid.

I realize that we are talking about a later car here but just to clarify=20
things I should mention that boot (trunk) lid seals were not always glued=
=20
to the lid.
The early 100s with aluminum (aluminium) lids had the seal fitted to the=
=20
shroud.
Details here...
Just sayin'.
Details here.

This is most likely an ignorant question, so I will apologize in advance.
I am glueing the oval rubber liner for the trunk seal. I am glueing it to=
=20
the lip of the shroud. Today I saw 10 Healeys for sale with the rubber seal=
=20
glued to the trunk lid.

Which way is correct?
