To go along with this thread, I have a catalog  of remanufactured exchange
engines from the early 70s from Foreign Cars Service of Madisionville, Tn.
They had 3 price ranges for: Stock engines, Modified- ported, Modified -
ported with racing cam.                        TC,TD,TF, all MGA except
twin cam -$169,$184,$219       MGB  3 or 5 main -$174,$194,$219
             Midget $174,$189,$214.  Balancing $29. Freight rates $8 to $10
in the USA. They would install the engine in your car in 8hrs for $30.
