I normally use 3 M 77 Spray on mine and don't have a problem at all with it.
Just use a light coating is all you need. I also use that for any carpet
applications such as in the boot.
As far as the packing strips they are 20 5/8 x 1 -1/16 by 1/4 thick.
Hope this helps,

It's resolved, I'm going to recover them myself, one at a time. Tonight I
disassembled the backrest (excuse me, I meant to say 'squab') and read
the directions that came with the Moss kit. Uh oh! I probably should have
green-thumbed it. I'm not enthralled over the idea of using contact cement
components that are going to need to be shifted for best fit. Anyone have a
suggestion for a better adhesive to use? Any other hints and suggestions
be gratefully received.
One more thing --- does anyone happen to have a set of dimensions for the
packing strips that go under the seat slides? Mine are hopelessly distorted.
