Albert, while it's true that most people in the US think of a roadster
when 'MG' is mentioned, the company does have a long history of sedans -
Y-types, Magnettes (Z-types, which I personally LOVE and the Farinas), the
1100/1300, Metro, Montego, etc. While many of these were badge-engineered
or shared with other BMC/Leyland brands, the fact remains that MG did
produce hundreds of thousands (probably) of sedans, into the 80's. So,
logically, it makes sense for them to get back into the market in a big
way with sedans and coupes - so they can make a bunch of money to produce
a modern Miata-fighter!!  Hee, hee!!
