The little drive gear on the odometer drive has begun slipping on
its shaft.

Usually this happens the first time when it's trying to go from 9999
to 10000 or some similar pattern; after that it will slip often.

I fix these by disassembling the unit and abrading the shaft with a
file and epoxying the gear back in place. If you're not good at
fixing watches and such, best not try it.
