Well, the typical answer you will get will be Miata, they fit really well
but most are reaching the age where they need to be recovered.  Many of the
installations involve massaging in the wide part of the trans tunnel just a
bit.  In my V8 I used the seats from a '00 Toyota Celica, I found them out
of a car with less than 1k miles on it.  They fit just as well but I had to
fabricate brackets to bolt them down.  I don't know the procedure for the
Miata seats, but I found it easier to cut the stock mounting points off of
the Celica seats and fabricate bits to bolt through the stock holes.  I
can't tell you if older Celica seats will fit but they might be worth
looking at.  Very comfy, good support for cornering, the driver seat has
tilt in the bottom of the seat and both recline.
