My v12 actually purred like a kitten on muscle enhancers or like the really
BIG cats.
The ear plugs were needed when the thing was still back firing. One time it
built up a
load of fuel and fired as the exhaust valve was open. It got the attention
of ALL my
neighbors for about two blocks. I was a bit deaf for two days and my wife
came out of
the house running and thought I literaly blew up the truck. ( The neighbors
still give
directions based on "where the firetruck used to be".)

PS The firetruck was a '49 Seagraves 750gl pumper. The engine was a Pierce
Arrow
with additional strength for emergency duty. I hope that is close
enough to be a
(short) thread in this group. Now back to GM pickups of the Phat look.
