The cardboard pad is called a firewall insulation pad and made in fiberglass
and sold by most vendors. It was also made in ABS rubber but last time I
checked I was told this type was discontinued for the fiberglass type. I was
checking because my fiberglass one had some holes that didn't line up. I would
have preferred that they didn't put any holes in. I ended up patching and
filling them back in with fiberglass cloth and resin and putting my own in.
Anyhow installing can be some work as wiring, cables, heater, speedo and temp
sensor have to come out..
I sent for some samples of seats and the best one I saw was sold by Jim
Carter. Its not exact to original but the closes I saw. It should be maroon
vinyl and the door panels are maroon also. Headliner brown. Dash paint
described as gray brown lacquer with slight metallic, sold by many vendors. Bob
Adler also supplied a PPG enamel paint code that he said is a good match but I
can't find it now. I used the lacquer but enamel might be more durable.
Steering wheel, column and shifter are a slightly different shade.
