Does anyone know the proper way to add fluid and beed a hydrallic
ram/jack. The ram is from an engine hoist. I believe it is rated at 8
tons.

The ram/jack I have only has one removable bolt at the bottom. The one
you use to lower the hoist. Unfortunately in my unskilled attempt to add
fluid I got a bunch of air into the system. Now the jack no longer works.
How do I bleed the air from the jack?

Looks like the pump can be taken apart and the top of the cylinder may
come off with some persuasion. I don't want to take it apart any more
than I need to. I'm certain the ram is still good. I just need to get
rid of the air.

I appreciate your help.

Thanks,
-JLS
