Here is a site for FAQs about Oils & Filters.

http://www.cs.earlham.edu/~davel/volvo/faq/oilsfilters.html The information
on the site corresponds to what I have read else where.

http://www.rose-hulman.edu/~millergd/oil.html is a reference to an older
site. I have not checked it lately. It had an excellent comparison.

http://www.mobil.com/ will get you to the Mobil site and let you read about
Mobil 1 yourself.

I have happily and successfully used Mobil synthetics in the 350 Chevy and
700R4 transmission both rebuilt in a 1976 El Camino. Changed oil twice
before getting rid of it. Both times, it appeared very clean. I have seen
lots of junk come from oil changes over the last few years from a friends
auto repair business.

I am personally going to use synthetic fluids in all cases in my AD truck.
