Try a LuK RepSet next time. Everything in the set is 100% new, and has
a higher quality than Centerforce overall. Centerforce clutches are largely
made up of OE clutch cores. If you would have looked on the clutch you just
installed, you would have seen a LuK logo stamped into the cover.
I don't want to get into a discussion about diaphragm spring type clutch
design. Just keep in mind that Centerforce is a company that has built it's
reputation on having a higher clampload than OE. In their designs, there's
usually a compromise of wear capacity for the clampload increase.
Don't believe me, call LuK at 1-800-274-5001 and ask for technical
services. They'll explain the difference and point you to a distributor
that can sell you a set the next time.
