I am trying to redo the brakes on my 1957 3800. My parts man shows all 3/4
ton brake shoes as 11" x 2", but my rear drums seem to measure at 12" x 2". I
think I am meaasuring correct (across the drum) but someone please verify.

Also, I have added an adapter kit for the master cylinder and I installed a
new master cylinder that lists for a 1973 1/2 ton Chevy with manual brakes.
Once installed I found that the fittings for the two brake line outlets are
not identical. Which one should go to the fronts and which to the back?

Also, what is the purpose of the large concentric bolt that the brake shoes
pivot on? Why is it concentric?

Thanks for any help or suggestions you may have.
