One wire goes to the sending unit, which is grounded through the engine block,
the other wire would go to the run terminal on the ignition switch. That oughta
work. One terminal is marked IGN on the gauge, I think its stamped on that
little cardboard piece that is between the terminals, the IGN terminal is the
one that goes to the switch. At least that's how I remember it being on my 57.
