Brian,

I have not put my disk brake kit on yet as I am still clean up the
axle and spindles, but the instructions I got from Chevy Duty said that you
can heat the bearing adapters to 400 degrees F in an oven to help get them
on. The adapters are purposly made undersized so that they will fit really
tight. The alternative is to take them to a machine shop and have them
pressed on (the machine shop should also be able to check the sized to see
if they are indeed too small).

hey all,
ive got the disc brake kit from Pickups Northwest. and ive started putting
them on. but, the bearing adapters seem too tight on my spindle. the
instructions say they will get tight and not go on all the way, but mine
seem too tight. im afraid to use a peice of pipe and a hammer to put them
on, becuase im afraid to damage my spidnles or bearing adapters. my
questions are:, are 3200 and 3100 spindles different? also, from anyone who

has installed disc brakes on their I-beams, is there a trick to getting
these adapters onto the spindle? i dont want to ruin anything in the
proccess. so any help is greatly appreciated
