Keep it stock. Changing motors requires new motor mounts be welded to the
frame. And you have to move them back far enough to clear radiator and
other things. Rebuilding engine can be fun and not to expensive. Time
consuming, yes. Explain running gear a mess? Rear axles can be
cleaned/sealed/and new bearings. Sounds like a fun project that doesn't
have to cost a lot.
Where were all you girls that like to work on old trucks when I grew up in
