PO put a stabilizer on one of mine.  It steers quite nicely with its new
6.50 x 16 bias plies, but otherwise neglected condition.  I always
considered it kind of hokey, but maybe it does contribute to the relatively
good steering on the truck.  I haven't removed it to do a comparison.

When I got the truck it had a bunch of mismatched tires, including one snow
tire on the front, and all much wider than stock.  By going back to a
stockish tire size, I made a huge improvement.  Many other list members say
using radials adds a lot over bias plies.
