I am weighing the options of whether to rebuild the engine(s) for my
Apache.

I have 2 - 235 engines that were in good running condition about a year
ago. I intended to swap parts between the two to assemble the engine
that I wanted, but on the engine I want to use (a 1962 model with 848
head) the water pump was frozen, and when I took it off there was lots of
corrosion in the water jackets...

I flushed out the water jackets with an over the counter remedy till the
water ran clear, but I still hesitate to use it with my new radiator. Of
course, another limiting factor is the piggy bank, and my ability to
tackle a rebuild and assembly myself.

Your suggestions and opinions are welcomed. Also, are there any good
resources on the net on how to rebuild your own 235 engine. Thanks for
your help.
