I painted the rear bumper of our VW bus with this earlier this fall; dried
in about 2 hours, BUT they recommend a second coat at least 6 weeks later.
I liked it, but found it a bit difficult to get a smooth finish. No
seperation, but stirred the devil outta it before we painted, and got a
bunch of air bubbles for my troubles - I'll need to sand and repaint (when
I feel like pranking with it). Brush marks are pretty obvious, too. I'd
love to hear how to thin for spraying, but they claim it can't be thinned;
any ideas what the solvent is?
I picked up my cans at a surplus store for $2 @; for that price, this is
great paint when applied properly (the white is really good for bumpers, as
it is pretty reflective), but I would go with POR 15 for ANY job if you
have the dosh... I did the frame and bed of the truck in POR 15 and it
looks great.

I'm gonna use the rest of the Hammerite on the roof of the Bus - if looks
aren't a priority, this is good stuff. Any left over goes to a touch up on
the 50 year old stove :)
