I know it is not one of our traditional "ole trucks" but it is another "ole
truck" that gets me back and forth to work everyday. My problem is this:

1984 Chevrolet S-10 Blazer with 2.8 liter V-6 and 5-speed transmission. The
blazer has no catalytic converter, pollution control, or anything like that. I
don't detect any vacuum leaks, but the distributor is vacuum advance. This has
just started happening recently just out of the blue - the blazer starts fine,
idles fine, timing is correct, new plugs, distributor cap, rotor button, wires,
etc. but when really getting down on the throttle in 4th and 5th gear, the carb.
acts like it is trying to flood out. When you let off it gets better, but it
still wants to spit and putter. It seems to be worse when you are under a load
(i.e. going uphill or really trying to accelerate). I have not changed the fuel
filter yet, but I wanted to see what you guys thought. You have helped me on
some other issues with the 54 "Fatboy" so I thought maybe you might have some
ideas on the 84. Thanks for your help, I am at my wits end. I know it is going
to be something simple.
