Yep, Hurst shifter, though it moves forward into gear, rather than back.
;)  Underneath all of that compost material in the bed is a solid steel
bed.  I haven't decided yet whether to go back to the original wood or
not.... 

I know I'll need ya'll to help me with my "fun!"

Oh man, Jason. Do you have a lotta fun ahead of you! Great slide show.
Especially liked the bed (with one sprig of green) and the engine

I brought my '58 home to begin restoration on Saturday.
