I want to install a small block Chevrolet (probably a 265 or 283) in my '56
3100. And I want to use stock parts.
Can anyone tell me whether the factory V8 motor mounts will bolt-up to the
front cross member of this truck without having to drill the cross member?
I browsed several archives but couldn't find any mention of the mounts
relative to what I am asking.
If the mounts will bolt in using the existing holes, I would like to
purchase some V8 mounts. If anyone could provide me with a source and/or a
price I would be much obliged. Any other related thoughts would also be
appreciated.
