Hello all,

I've been having an interesting discussion lately on the development of nick
names for autos and ran into a big question.

I know a chevy BB is considered a Rat motor, but where did the term "Rat"
come from? When was it first being used? And subsequently, when did the term
Mouse motor begin appearing?

I would love any information or anecdotes on this topic.
