I got a comment from someone on one of my lists that the electrolysis
process should not
be used on any safety-related items like steering arms as it may cause
hydrogen
embrittlement.  I was looking for something rusty to try this out on and
happened across
the steering arms first...apparently not the best choice...

I would not have expected this to be more than a surface effect.
