Anyone know how the wiring is to be connected? I put a new wiring
harness in it and there are 6 wires going to the signal light switch
location.

Often the add on switches were designed to use add on lights, you'd
mount a new light at each corner of the truck and wire the switch to
that.  So they didn't need to mess with the brake lights, and you could
just run one wire to the front and back on each side.

The harness for the truck is designed for the original switch that has 6
wires, it lets you use only one bulb on each side at the back.

I'd find a different switch if I were you.
