Bob,
Most of my blasting is done by the side of my house, so I only have direct
sunlight for a few hours. The times when I'm blasting in the sun, I've stuck
cardboard or anything else behind the cabinet to try and shade it.
I keep saying I want to make a portable wind break/shield for my welding.
If I ever do, I'll be able to set it around my blast cabinet and place
a tarp over top of it or some cardboard to help block the sun light.
Many times, I find the light helps me see in the cabinet better than the
little light.

The fellow that wrote that article, had a good idea, he placed an 18"
florcent
light in the front of his cabinet to help get more light in there.
