Hello all,

I had seen a thread about this on the list and had some first hand
experience that I thought might be useful. I mentioned in an earlier
e-mail that I had just bought a '79 Spit last weekend and would be parting
out my '76, anyway in addition to removing all the smog gear the PO of the
'79 had also installed a Delco alternator. It seems to work fine and it
looks like all that was required was a new upper bracket and some
rearrangement of the three wires going to the Lucas alternator. If anyone
is interested I can send you a description of how the wiring was
modified... or I'll sell the entire setup for $25 plus shipping. Did I
mention that I'm parting out a '76 model Spit and that I have almost any
part that you night need? Please e-mail me with any thing you're looking
for.

Thanks,
Glenn
