Listers,
My car (1971 MK IV) came with DPO-installed Lucas Repro mirrors (VB Part #
9-181, 9-183) on the doors. These are mounted too low, and are virtually
worthless.
What was the correct style of outside mirrors on 71s? Were they chrome or black?
Has anybody found acceptable substitutes for VB part # 9-096 or 9-094 at local
auto parts stores or on-line that beat Big 3 prices? The bullet style racing
mirrors would also be OK, but not at $ 39.95 a pop.
If I find better mirrors, I will let the Lucas repros (chrome still pretty
decent) go to any interested lister for cheap.
