I checked the sensor-everything seemed ok. Dave came by and checked
everything out-seems I don't have oil pressure-or at least steady oil
pressure.
He's coming by tomorrow with some parts and a new oil filter-thinks the
filter might be defective. Said he's seen this happen more than once-on
Ferarris, the filters (Fram, usually) will implode. Ok, Nigel isn't a
Ferarri, but it is a high performance, high compression engine, and Dave has
lots of experience with building and mantaining these engines so...
He also said that there wasn't any damage done to the engine-so, that's a
good thing. And that it's a small, simple repair-once he finds out if it's
an oil filter failure or pump.
So, I'm grounded for a few days...
