Hi Michael
My only experience with Oxford was leaving the main road past Oxford and
heading into town to find fast food, not only did we not find fast food but
ended up spending about 30 minutes trying to get out of the damn place, stay
away from the one way circuit, it is signposted by the locals for the
locals!
I would suggest that you get on the A34 and follow the signs for Portsmouth
and Southampton and enjoy the scenery of that area or take the ferry and
come visit the Island (Caution biased opinion at work here!!!). You could
take a drive to Milton Keynes and see what a mess we Brits can make when
trying to copy the block system from you lot! You could also try Silverstone
if you are here during the Easter weekend as the British Grand Prix is on
then. Caution long cues for the entrance if you can even get tickets now!
There is some gorgeous country in that area and I hope someone from the area
will respond and help you. I have copied this to the Spit list in case any
one from Oxford is on that list.

Graham.
Ps Sorry to those of you from Oxford and Milton Keynes , I am sure they have
their good points as the Island has it's bad points what you see is meant in
a light hearted kind of way and is my experience of the tiny part of each
place that I saw, Oxford damn ring road Milton Keynes short of time!
