Hi Jeff
Either will work equally well, though I have a car with the indicator stalk
to the centre of the car and found that with the stick mounted option it was
a bit hectic during overtaking manoeuvres as the left hand (rhd car) needs
to switch the O/D and the indicator at almost the same time. As for finding
the correct bits, you may find chickens teeth or rocking horse dung first!

Ps never been stung by the stick, just make sure the wires are good before
you fit it, I put a new piece of twin flex up the stick and used new crimp
on small speaker terminals to replace the old ones, these grip well!
