I consider my 79 Spit a daily driver.  I don't drive it every single day,
but it is our family second car and get's used for the kind of things you
would expect any other car to be used for.  When the sun is shining and
we're not going to work we tend to take the Spit for just about anything
from going for ice cream to going for groceries.  It does get driven to
work sometimes, but as it offers no advantage (other than using less gas)
it seems silly to drive it to work so it can sit in the parking lot rather
than my driveway.
