FK is a US only prefix used on MkIV's.  Therefore, the tranny would be a full 
synchro 3-rail and not an early gearbox.  But I would
much rather have one (as I do) in my Mk1 Spit because of the synchro in first 
gear.  ANd it fits just fine!
