Mk3 turn signals

I'm fitting the front turn signals to my new Mk3 bonnet. Does the amber
portion of the lens go on the outside or does the clear section?  The
rectangular hole for the light is there but the screw holes are not there so
I can't tell.
Also I still need a grill, anyone have one?
