Hmmmm.  The Haynes manual I have with a section 13, step #4 only shows
bending back the locking tab in a photo.  Step #5 refers to a
nonexistent photo for the whacking on a drift activity.  The Haynes
"Owner's Workshop Manual" for the "Herald 1959 on" ("Triumph Herald,
S, 1200, 12/50, 13/60, All Models; 948 cc, 1147 cc, 1296 cc") shows
the relevant photo (for those who need to know) 15.2 on page 33.  The
drift is placed such that it will rotate the nut anticlockwise (the
normal direction if you wish to remove this nut) near the point of the
hex and approximately parallel to the flat adjacent to the point of
the hex.  (FWIW, photo 15.1 in this manual is the same as photo 13.4
in the Spitfire-specific Hanyes manual, showing a screwdriver bending
the locking tabs back.)
