Does anybody know if the seat reupholstery kits for the traditional Spitfire
houdstooth seats are manufactured by only one company, or are there more?
After years of searching, I finally found a vinyl that almost exactly matches
the original beige/tan color. The vinyl color in the kits is actually
wrong...slightly darker and browner (i.e. less golden) than the original...so
replacing the seats means they wouldn't match the other interior components.
Anyway, I was wondering if anyboby had any opinion/experience with supplying
your own vinyl to the seat kit manufacturer(s) and if they're willing to make
seat kits with buyer supplied vinyl?
FYI...in case anyone has run into the same problem and wants to try this vinyl,
it's Symphony Classic brand vinyl in British Tan...of course :-)
