Sprite mystery hole question

I wondering the purpose of a mystery hole (no not in my head) on the fresh
air intake
plate. The hole is just below the intake. I can't find any pictures of it
and can't see anything in the area that would bolt up to it. I used it to
mount my horn but I know that this is not the proper place. Looks good
though. 
Anybody?
