When I had that problem (cold garage), I went to Home Depot and picked up a
Coleman propane heater (usual disclaimers, and any unusual ones you can
think of)  Made the garage quite usable...it did limit the scope of the
work I could do tho ;-)

ps - I know a bunch of you might hate to hear this, but I was outside
working in the garden yesterday in a t-shirt...it was in the 70's...of
course the sun went away and it dropped to about 40...so I went back in to
work on the MG!
