Have you checked for bow-by? Maybe the new rings are not seated properly...
if that's the case then open the oil cap and feel for pressure escaping?

        Possible, but I have a Weber DGV, so the only fitting for crankcase
venting
        is from the air filter to the breather on the timing cover. This is
hooked
        up. If it was a little oil, I could see that maybe being the cause,
but
        this is literally pouring out. I don't know where I screwed up but I
        imagine I'll find out soon as the rain stops and I get a chance to
pull the
        engine again.
