Ulix is correct (as usual) 
spridget tanks were 6 and 7 gallons. early/late.
Later tanks have the carb overflow recovery.
I am running a 1500 Midget 7 gallon tank in my Bugeye. I put a plug in
the recovery hole.
If you do not have the recovery system still plumbed on your Midget, get
an early tank.
