Hello fellow listers,

I'm looking for some techniques to remove my rear hub on my bugeye. I broke
two studs (next to one another) and am trying to replace them. It seems the
best way to do this is to pull the hub so I can have complete access to the
studs. Unfortunately after removing the axle, the nut and spacer/lock tab
(fully exposing the outer bearing) I cannot seem to pull the hub/bearing off
the axle housing. I'm working under the guise that these should simply pull
off the housing (with a little help from a gear puller). Are there any
tricks out there that may allow me to 'safely' pull out the hub/bearing?

Also, and not to get ahead of myself, I'm assuming the repacked and
re-greased bearing and hub can 'easily' be pressed back into place with a
little help from a flat surface (like a board) and a mallet? Any advice in
reinstalling the hub/bearing?

Thanks.
