Well, I ran out of time over the weekend, but the Thermostat issue has been
bugging me because my "elbow joint" (I've actually thought it was called a
gooseneck) just doesn't look like the one in the Hayne's book, as there
seems to be a bolt that runs parallel to the ground which would prevent the
housing from being lifted straight up. Perhaps the PO modified the colling
system somehow?

Anyway, I will experiment further. In any case, the Thermostat is the 165
degree (I guess its about time for the 180 degree, at this point) which I
ordered from Northwest Import. It was packaged by Unipart (I think), made
in the UK. Does that imply high quality?

Regards,

Charles
