The '78 and '79 1500s from VIN # 200001 had 3.7 diffs. The '75-'77s had 3.9s.

At least in a 1500 Midget, the tunnel does not have to widened by that much
according to what I was told by Eddie Cole who installed one in his '75
Midget. The work was done by Randy Balogh of Strictly British in Lebanon,
Ohio. E-mail address <mgbay@aol.com>. If I remember what Eddie told me, the
widening was more on the order of 1/2 inch which surprised me.
