Since I caused all this furor, I have not said much, but instead have spend
alot of time thinking about the things Reid said in his follow up post. I must
admit I agree with most of what Reid had to say, especially the part about the
apology. I have been a member of AHCUSA and in the 14 issues I have received, I
have not seen anything concerning my car at all and seemingly obligatory
articles on the Bugeye. The lack of this coverage bothered me but I really did
get out of hand with how I addressed the matter. For this I do want to
apologize to AHCUSA and all those involved with the publication of their
magazine. It has fine coverage of the Big Healeys and I would be lying if I
said I have not enjoyed the photos contained therein. I also want to apologize
to Les, I was not aware of any agreement between him and Reid (neither were
many others I gather), but that is none of my business either. It is your
business and how you tend it is solely your responsibility.
I also want to apologize to the list members who either were enraged by the
subject I started or wore out their fingers on the delete key, this list is not
the medium to argue on. I had turned this list into something akin to what we
dislike about the others we hear about.
Most importantly, I wish to apologize to Frank Clarici. He has been a great
help to this list and to me, if ever I have needed anything I knew that I could
count on him to give me advice or parts to solve my problems. To him I
especially want to say I am sorry.I had no business bringing you issues in with
my gripe, I feel you would not have said anything about this, had I not gotten
things started.
As I look back on the contributions I have made to this list, the wonderfull
Morris vs. B.L. thread, to this last one, and all the smart ass comments in
between, I have tried to re-evaluate my worth to the list. I am not real
pleased with my answer. Sometimes you get to a point where someone says enough
is enough, and there is no one more qualified than myself to say that.
The list is a place of fun and advice, I want it to stay that way. With that
in mind I am thinking of leaving the list. I have not had any private personal
attacks, neither are there any other underlying reasons. I have a naturally
argumenative nature that sometimes can get out of hand. I do not want to cause
any more grief for the list. To those listers that I have been sending things
to in private emails, I am clearing the address book, if you want to stay on,
let me know as I would like any who want to, to stay. I want to apologize to
stirring up as fine a bunch of people as one could hope to meet. Your company
