Forma-gasket has a red very sticky dressing that works very well to hold the
cork gasket to the valve cover. other than that, I wouldn't use any dressing
between the head and the valve cover gasket. You will be removing the cover
periodically to adjust the valves.

Hi everyone,

I'm replacing the rocker cover gasket on my '74 Midget. Any opinions on
using
a gasket dressing on there? What type, if any? The PO had gobs, and I do
mean gobs, of RTV silicone on there.

Thanks,
Glenn C.
