I don't know if my tach is innaccurate because I installed the Pertronix,
but mine reads higher than actual RPM.

Jacques....

According to Nisonger (Instrments), there are some sensitivity issues
with some tachs. when using a PerTronix.

As I understand it, the points type ignition our LBC's initially came
with put out a stronger pulse to the tach., then the PerTronix
HED. This is especailly noticeable by the tach at higher rpms in terms
of accuracy...IOW, it shows less than what the engine is actually
turning at higher rpm.

Nisonger uses a different value of whatever it is that picks up the
impulse which cures the problem.

Give them a buzz and they will most certainly help you out...nice
people.
