Hello spridgets. ,

i am using a circumference as listed for 175/70 tires of
71.14". i found a program called transmission gear
calculator. i reran the #s with a 4.55 rear end and come
up with 4200 for 60 mph, and 4900 for 70.... close enough.

            i guessed at a 4.71 using a 33 tooth ring gear and 7 tooth
pinion.. its probably a 4.55 (thanx PAUL!!!)

and my speed #s come from timing myself through measured
miles, NOT the speedo. .. (i think the speedo gear in the
tranny is still loose! no amount of fixing the speedo
will remedy THAT, but a nice FIVE SPEED will take care of
            it)

i have been using the dwell tach and setting the car tach
to match at 4000 rpm. ... they stay pretty well together
from about 2500 up to 4500 rpm, so the pertronix shouldn't
            be affecting that?
